Installing PDF Creator

1. Open a new window in Internet Explorer. 2. In the address bar, type in: http://www.pdfforge.org

3. On the left side of the page, click on the “PDF Creator” link.

4. On the left side, click “Download”.

5. In the middle of the page, select “PDF Creator MSI Installer”. This will open a new window.

6. If you’re using Internet Explorer, there will be a yellow warning bar. Right click on this bar.

7. Select “Download File…”

A dialogue box will appear and will ask if you want to “Run” or “Save”.

8. Choose to save the file. Typically, you will save it to your desktop.

It will then save to your desktop. When the download is completed, another dialogue box will appear.

9. Click “Run."


Internet Explorer will now display a security warning.

10. Click “Run” again. This will open the installer.


11. In the installer, click the “I Accept” button and click “Next".

12. Click “Finish”

13. Open a Microsoft Word Document, or whatever printer application you use.

14. In the Office button, go to Print.

15. Click on the drop-down list of printers and choose “PDF Creator”.

16. Adjust any other printing applications if you wish to and click “Ok”.

Word will prompt you to select a title and other specifics for your document.


17. Click “Save” at the bottom right.

You will be prompted as to where you would like to save.

18. Again, you may want to simply save it to your desktop.

PDF Creator will automatically open your newly created PDF file in Adobe Acrobat for previewing purposes. You can now upload this document in WebCT.
