[edit] Steps

1. In your WebCT home page, click on the newest section of your course. This should open a window that has three options:

a. Set up a blank course.

b. Copy content from a blank course.

c. Import content from file.

2. Click on the button that says "Copy content from another course" and click "Continue".

3. A list of all of the courses in your WebCT page will pop up. Scroll through your list to find the course which you want to copy content from. Image:Classes.jpg

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page when your course has been selected and click "continue".

5. You will see two bars on the next page. This is WebCT setting up your course for you. Depending on how much content is in your course, this may take a longer amount of time.

6. When your course appears, check the "Do not show this page" box and click "Done".

7. Your course content should now be copied into the new version of your course.

[edit] Tips

You can only go through this process once for each course. If you make a mistake and need to re-copy content, please contact Matt Stenson in the Instructional Design Center.

While the course content is copied over, mail messages, discussions, and grading related materials are not copied over. This will have to be redone for each course.
